Navigating the iPIX image

Navigating With Your Mouse:
hand icon

When you place the cursor within an image it becomes a hand. The hand icon changes as you move the cursor around to point you in that direction. Hold down the left mouse button to move around the space. Macintosh users simply hold down the button.

plus glass icon

The magnifying glass with the plus symbol appears when the cursor is slightly above the center of the IPIX™ image. When you see this icon, hold down your mouse button to zoom closer into the IPIX™ image.

minus glass icon

The magnifying glass with the minus symbol appears when the cursor is slightly below the center of the IPIX™ image. When you see this icon, hold down your mouse button to zoom further out of the IPIX™ image.

The linked computers symbol appears when the cursor is on a link. Double click to go to another region.

Using the Keyboard:
Use the arrow keys to move left, right, up, or down in an image. To move quickly, hold down the arrow key that points in the direction you wish to move.

To zoom closer into the image, press the plus(+) key. To zoom further out of the image, press the minus(-) key.

Plug-In for Windows Users:
The plug-in should download automatically. If not, please download the file from IPIX.

Plug-In for Macintosh OS 8.x - 9.x Users:
Please go to the necessary download page.
Note: The IPIX plugin is not currently compatible with OS X.
