What You Need To Know

Trip Information

To book your first whitewater rafting adventure, it is best to ask yourself some fundamental questions such as how many people will be in my party, what time of year do I want to go and finally how much time can I devote to my adventure. At Arizona River Runners, we have a wide variety of trip offerings from our 3-day Escape, our 6, 7 and 8-day motorized adventures and our 13-day oar powered trips. Most people ask, "What is the best time to go on a white water rafting trip?" The simplest answer is that most people book their trips during the peak periods of the summer, (June-August). If you have flexibility in scheduling your trip and want to take advantage of the great Arizona weather, May to early June and September are ideal times to go rafting the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon.
