SPRING 2013 - "HIKER'S SPECIAL"

You will enjoy the Canyon in a whole new way as the Spring bloom adds even more color and beauty to an already amazing landscape. All three trip types will allow you more time for additional side canyon hiking and discovery in the milder temperatures of April. Average day time highs range in the mid-80’s and night time lows in the mid-50’s. Some additional physical conditioning is required for the mandatory 7.5 mile hike in or out on the 6 and 7-day trips. (NOTE: This is the only time we will offer these three trip-types during the 2013 season.)

12-DAY MOTOR POWERED HIKER'S SPECIAL

April 6-17 2013

The 12-day/11-night adventure travels 225 miles through the Grand Canyon. The trip starts in Marble Canyon, AZ or Las Vegas, NV if you use our optional transportation package. Your trip will end on the 12th morning at Diamond Creek with transportation to nearby Peach Springs, AZ. You can arrange your own transportation from there or select our optional ground transportation that will return you back to Las Vegas, NV.

LAS VEGAS BUS OPTION: Optional $95 per person charge for bus transportation from Las Vegas, NV to Marble Canyon, AZ and your return to Las Vegas, NV at the conclusion of your trip.

6-DAY MOTOR POWERED HIKER'S SPECIAL TRIP (with hike-out)

The 6-day/5-night hike-out trip starts with your arrival in Marble Canyon, AZ. This 6-day trip is perfect for those wanting a shorter motor-powered trip with more hiking. Your 6th morning will bring you to Phantom Ranch and the start of your ascent to the South Rim.

LAS VEGAS BUS OPTION: Optional $65 per person charge for bus transportation from Las Vegas, NV to Marble Canyon, AZ the morning the trip starts.(There is no return transportation included with this package.)

7-DAY MOTOR POWERED HIKER'S SPECIAL TRIP (with hike-in)

April 11-17 2013

The 7-day/6-night adventure starts with a brisk hike from South Rim, Grand Canyon to the Colorado River. You will travel 135 river miles to your take-out the 7th morning at Diamond Creek. We will provide transportation to nearby Peach Springs, AZ. You can arrange your own transportation from there or select our optional ground transportation that will return you back to Las Vegas, NV.

LAS VEGAS BUS OPTION: Optional $65 per person charge for bus transportation from Peach Springs, AZ back to Las Vegas, NV. (There is no pre-trip transportation included with this package.)

All passengers 16 and older must pay a $12 National Park Entrance Fee, except 7-Day hike-in passengers.

New May 2013 - "HIKER'S SPECIAL"

Due to the popularity of our early season April Hiker’s Specials, we have added this new trip type during the main season. This is the only time we will offer this trip for 2013; this trip focuses on more time each day for side canyon hiking and exploration in the moderate temperatures of May. There is no required hike into or out of the canyon and you also have the choice of starting your trip in either Las Vegas, NV or Marble Canyon, AZ.

10-DAY MOTOR POWERED HIKER'S SPECIAL

(no hike-in or hike-out of the canyon required)

May 1-10 2013

The 10 day/9 night adventure travels 187 river miles from Lees Ferry to Whitmore Wash. On the last morning you will be helicoptered out of the Canyon to Bar 10 Ranch where you will enjoy the scenic north rim views, have time for a hot shower, then load up for your 30 min charter flight back to your destination, whether Marble Canyon, AZ return or to Las Vegas, NV.

LAS VEGAS FLIGHT OPTION: ptional $245 per person air fare charge for flights from Las Vegas, NV to Marble Canyon, AZ to start your trip. Return flight to Las Vegas, NV at the end of the trip is part of our basic package.

Now that you are armed with some of the fundamental answers it is time to give us a call. Our professional staff will guide you through the details of reserving your perfect trip. The dynamics are such that trip availability changes rapidly. To guarantee that you are able to reserve the trip you want, be ready to make your deposit when you call. We accept Visa or MasterCard over the phone and can start processing your reservation with your payment. If you need to send a check, we can put a courtesy hold on your reservation long enough to receive your deposit. After your reservation has been processed, you will receive a confirmation invoice with your trip date, the monies you have on account, the final payoff date and amount as well as the details of our cancellation policy.

Getting Ready To Go

In February of each year, our staff will start sending out your detailed Trip Information Packets. Each packet contains all the vital information you will need including, what we provide, what we suggest you bring, frequently asked questions, logistics and other helpful information for your trip. It is important to READ YOUR PACKET CAREFULLY! Save it, and make a point to read it again as you begin packing for your trip.
