If you are a guest on a South Rim Grand Canyon 3 Day Escape:
The meeting location for your trip is outside the park near Tusayan, AZ. You can stay at one of the several hotels in Tusayan. If you wish to stay inside the park instead, reservations can be made by calling Xanterra at 888-297-2757 or online at www.grandcanyonlodges.com. Rooms at the South Rim can be difficult to obtain. Reservations open one year in advance.
If you are a guest on a Lower Canyon Hike In Trip:
It is best to stay inside the park due to the early meeting time and the possibility of lines at the entrance gate. Grand Canyon South Rim reservations can be made by calling Xanterra at 888-297-2757 or online at www.grandcanyonlodges.com. Rooms at the South Rim can be difficult to obtain, so please reserve early. Reservations open one year in advance.
If you cannot find lodging inside the park, additional options are available in the nearby town of Tusayan, AZ. Please be aware that there may be traffic at the entrance gates to the park in the morning. You will want to give yourself plenty of extra time.

WHAT’S NEARBY
There are a few restaurants in Grand Canyon National Park. Additional dining options are available in Tusayan.
Last-minute shopping for travel essentials, gifts, and snacks is available in the park at Canyon Village Market Deli or outside the park at the Tusayan General Store.

Please use the ARR discounted booking link to make your reservation. Reservations open 11 months in advance. If you plan to stay at the Courtyard Marriott both before and after your trip, you’ll have to make two separate reservations.
If you choose to stay at an alternative hotel, please note that we are not able to pick you up or drop you off at locations other than the designated hotel. Please make the necessary arrangements to arrive before the departure time listed in your trip packet.
Once you’ve made your reservation, we ask that you update the lodging field on your online registration form.
AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION
Many people who fly into Phoenix choose to use Groome Transportation from Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) to Flagstaff and Grand Canyon. You can request (in advance only) to be dropped off at the Courtyard Marriott for a small additional fee. If you are flying into Flagstaff (FLG), you’ll need to catch an Uber/Lyft or taxi to the Courtyard Marriott.
PARKING
Regardless of where you stay in Flagstaff, you may park your vehicle at the Courtyard Marriott while on your river trip. Be sure to inform the front desk and park where they advise. We recommend that you do not store luggage or valuables in your vehicle. Neither Arizona River Runners nor Courtyard Marriott will be responsible for damage to, or loss of, the vehicle, its contents, or luggage stored at the Courtyard Marriott while on your trip.
LUGGAGE STORAGE
Courtyard Marriott will store any non-river luggage at no charge for all Arizona River Runners’ guests. All bags must have name tags and should be brought to the front desk before breakfast.
